This my second semester at SIU. I am junior level and my major is Journalism/Digital Communications with, as of right now, a persuasive emphasis (advt/mrkt). I am also interested in the various independently produced films, webisode type programming and vlogs that are available online. Along with this class I am currently taking a couple MCMA courses and journalism law. I have found all my classes to be interesting and I am excited about school!
One goal I have for the semester is to do well in school, I did very well last semester and felt like I learned a lot…so it’s totally in the realm.
I also realize I need to try to have more of a social life. I live in rural Carbondale and somehow fell into this homebody routine…boring.
Another goal is to start using my treadmill again- for exercise and not a clothing rack! -or getting myself to the rec center. I am also in the midst of a battle against the nicotine monster and I am winning! Woot!
This summer I will be back at John A to take a couple computer courses to familiarize myself with software I will be using here in the spring. I think that’s about it.
